Chemical Engineer with 37 years of process engineering experience in oil and gas, refining, polymers and petrochemical industries. Activities include conceptual and feasibility studies, front end engineering design, detail engineering, preparation of company standards and pre-commissioning/operation manuals, erection, pre-commissioning and start-up assistance, PHA and HAZOP, and planning and quality control.
Proficient in sizing of units / equipment in the upstream oil & gas domain such as Separators (2/3-phase), Oil Treaters, Skim Tanks, Desalters, natural gas and condensate pipelines, natural gas dehydration unit, natural gas sweetening unit, produced water treatment unit by developing sizing spreadsheets.
Executed engineering of projects related to Gas-Oil Separation Plant, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Polyethylene Terephthalate Polycondensation, filament yarn and staple fibre, oil and gas flow lines and trunk lines, flare system upgrade etc.
Developed calculations for loss prevention (fire safety) such as “Fire Water Demand Calculations” and “Foam Demand Calculations” based on NFPA 15 and NFPA 11 respectively.
Have been involved in “Process Safety Management” (PSM) by functioning as a HAZOP facilitator and as a convener of “Hazardous Area Classification” (HAC) discussions.
Have assisted in business development activities for Oil & Gas projects and provided active support in overall project management as part of the senior management.
